The arts of painting, printmaking, textile making and other media are well represented by contemporary artists through out the continent. These artists have created artworks in various media that underscore the dynamic quality of Africa's visual traditions. Their works highlight individual creativity, address global and local art trends and innovatively transform artistic traditions into modern idioms. The African contemporary artist often ingeniously combines formal techniques and materials with pre-existing traditions.

Our mission is to showcase the works of the best artists across the African continent. The artworks reflect a variety of styles from up-and-coming, established and master artists.
